About the role
Step away from big-company FIFO, shutdown churn and endless red tape. You'll join our Newman-based maintenance crew delivering a mix of residential and commercial carpentry and general maintenance — ongoing work with real variety, not shutdowns or repetitive project cycles.
Your day-to-day
Residential and commercial maintenance carpentry
Framing, fixing, repairs, doors, windows, decking and fit-outs
General maintenance — patching, fencing, minor repairs and painting
Diagnosing issues on site and providing practical, cost-effective solutions
Working autonomously across scheduled maintenance jobs
Managing job tasks, photos and close-outs in ServiceM8
Roster, location & accommodation
FIFO 2 weeks on / 1 week off, ex-Perth
12-hour days (6:00am–6:00pm), Newman & surrounds
Company-owned shared housing with a pool — clean, well-maintained homes, no dongas or camp
What we're looking for (essential)
Trade qualification as a Carpenter / Cabinet Maker / Joiner (or equivalent)
Strong all-round maintenance experience
White Card and manual C-Class driver's licence (held 1+ year)
Good problem-solving and a practical, hands-on approach
Comfortable using digital job-management tools (ServiceM8 — training provided)
Desirable
Forklift ticket or other HRWL, EWP or additional tickets
Previous ServiceM8 experience

About the role
Leave the big mining contractors, endless shutdowns and corporate red tape behind. As a licensed Plumber & Gas Fitter you'll join our Newman-based crew delivering plumbing maintenance, repairs and installation across residential and commercial properties — genuine variety, not repetitive project or shutdown work.
Your day-to-day
Residential and commercial plumbing maintenance
Diagnosing, repairing and managing leaks, blocked drains and faults
Preventative maintenance and fault-finding
Pump, valve and irrigation system repairs
Identifying practical long-term solutions for clients
Completing job notes, photos and close-outs in ServiceM8
Working autonomously across scheduled maintenance jobs
Roster, location & accommodation
FIFO 2 weeks on / 1 week off
70-hour work week (6:30am–5:00pm), Newman & surrounds

What we're looking for (essential)
Certificate III in Plumbing
Current WA Plumbing Licence (Water, Sanitary & Drainage)
WA Gas Fitting Permit / Registration
White Card, Forklift Ticket and manual C-Class driver's licence
Strong maintenance plumbing experience and a solid grasp of WHS
Able to diagnose faults and solve problems independently
Highly regarded
First Aid Certificate; pumps, irrigation or reticulation experience
ServiceM8 (or similar) and previous FIFO / remote maintenance experience
